Veriten has officially launched as a specialist consultancy supporting organisations operating within safety-critical, regulated and high-consequence environments.
Founded by practitioners with experience across defence, aviation and complex capability delivery, Veriten has been established to help organisations address a challenge that is becoming increasingly evident across industry: assurance is struggling to keep pace with modern capability development.
As systems become more software-enabled, interconnected and data-driven, organisations face growing complexity in demonstrating safety, compliance and operational confidence. Traditional assurance approaches remain essential, but the environments in which they are applied are changing rapidly.
Veriten has been created to help bridge that gap.
Ahead of launch, Veriten achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification and completed JOSCAR registration. These milestones provide an important foundation for working with organisations across defence, aerospace and other regulated sectors, where supply chain assurance, cyber hygiene and procurement readiness are increasingly important parts of delivery confidence.
The consultancy brings together expertise spanning safety engineering, airworthiness, cyber resilience, systems engineering, digital assurance and risk management. Its focus is on providing technically credible, proportionate support that reflects the realities of modern programme delivery rather than treating assurance as a purely compliance-driven activity.
Good assurance should enable capability, not become an obstacle to it. The challenge for many organisations today is not a lack of frameworks or governance processes. It is ensuring those processes remain effective as systems become increasingly complex, digital and interconnected.
Alongside established disciplines such as safety management, certification, independent assurance and risk assessment, Veriten will also support organisations in addressing emerging challenges associated with cyber resilience, Secure by Design principles and digitally enabled assurance environments.
The company will initially focus on supporting clients across defence, aviation, maritime, land and autonomous capability domains in both the UK and international markets.
The launch comes at a time when organisations are increasingly required to consider the relationship between engineering, safety, security and operational resilience as part of a coherent assurance approach. Veriten’s view is that these disciplines cannot be treated in isolation if assurance is to remain effective in modern capability environments.
The company will provide regular updates through both its News and Insights sections. Future content will explore topics including safety-critical systems, airworthiness, cyber resilience, systems engineering, Secure by Design and digital assurance.
We look forward to supporting organisations facing these challenges and contributing to the wider engineering assurance, safety and security communities.
