About

Built on real experience

Veriten was created to operate at the point where regulation, safety, engineering, cyber security, and operational delivery meet, where genuine expertise makes the difference.

The Business

What Veriten is

Veriten Ltd was established to address a genuine and growing demand for safety engineering, airworthiness, cyber security, and risk management support that is independent, impartial, and genuinely expert. The business has been built deliberately, assembling a team with complementary and deep capability across all stated expertise areas, rather than a generalist practice with safety as one of many offerings. Veriten is a new business; what is not new is the experience and track record of the people behind it.

We bring the responsiveness, direct client access, flexibility, and value for money of an agile, focused practice, alongside the depth of expertise that complex, regulated environments demand. That capability is backed by a network of specialist associates and sub-contractors for niche requirements and surge capacity.

Where the expertise comes from

The four founding directors bring more than 130 years of combined experience across the full spectrum of defence safety and airworthiness, from regulatory authority to programme delivery, and from boardroom to operational sharp end. Backgrounds span the Royal Air Force, the Army, and extensive careers within the UK Ministry of Defence, including the Military Aviation Authority and Defence Equipment & Support (now the National Armaments Director Group), as well as senior roles in specialist defence consultancy. Alongside this, Veriten has assembled practitioner-level capability in cyber security and systems engineering, covering Secure by Design delivery, OT and SCADA security, cyber assurance and accreditation, and the integration of safety and security in safety-critical and high-integrity systems, the domain where all three disciplines converge.

Collectively, the founding team has operated across UK military aviation regulation, airworthiness authority, independent assurance, safety case development and safety management system delivery. This includes work across fast jet, multi-engine, ISTAR, VIP, rotary wing and uncrewed aviation environments, as well as complex organisations including HMNB Clyde and operational flying stations. The team’s experience also extends internationally, including enterprise-level BowTieXP delivery for the Swiss Military Aviation Authority, work with OCIMF and software training delivery for ATR.

That breadth of experience is what Veriten is built on. It means the business understands not just what regulations require, but why. The context, intent, and operational reality behind the framework, across the full range of organisations and environments in which they apply.

Our Values

What drives us

Corporate Responsibility

How we conduct ourselves

Social Responsibility

Veriten is committed to operating with integrity in everything we do, towards our clients, our people, and the wider communities in which we work. We take seriously our responsibility to behave ethically, treat people fairly, and contribute positively wherever we can.

We are committed to equal opportunity and to building a working environment that is inclusive and respectful. Discrimination, harassment, and unfair treatment have no place in our business. Our Modern Slavery statement sets out our commitment to ensuring that neither slavery nor human trafficking has any place in our operations or supply chain.

We engage only with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical conduct, and we hold those we work with to the same standards of integrity we set for ourselves.

Environmental Responsibility

Veriten recognises its responsibility to minimise its environmental impact. Our operations are consultancy-based, with no manufacturing processes, large estate, or vehicle fleet. Our environmental footprint arises primarily from business travel and digital operations.

We are committed to reducing unnecessary travel by making use of remote working and digital collaboration tools wherever these do not compromise the quality of our client relationships or service delivery. Where travel is necessary, we make considered choices about how we travel.

Our environmental commitments will be reviewed and developed on a regular basis, ensuring they remain proportionate, honest, and genuinely actionable rather than aspirational statements without substance.
